SACRAMENTO- (July 30, 2010) Your passport to adventure continues through the final weekend of the California State Fair with exhibits, shows, music, food and animals ensuring something for every member of the family.

Incredible Exhibits!

• Days of the Dinosaur Adventure: Embark on a prehistoric adventure with the world-renowned 'Days of the Dinosaur' Exhibit, in its first U.S. appearance! This all-ages indoor attraction will feature more than a dozen life-sized dinosaur robots, skeleton replicas, interactive areas and photo opportunities! Bring the kids to explore hands-on activities like an archaeological dig site where they’ll have the opportunity to find their own fossils using authentic paleontology tools!
• Jungle & Reptile Experience: Our whimsical floriculture garden will be transformed into a lush jungle adventure with a host of birds, alligators and large tortoises. Come see, touch and learn about these wondrous creatures up close and personal!
• Magnificent Midway: The California State Fair comes alive under the lights of the Magnificent Midway, where fairgoers of all ages will find their favorite rides. Butler Amusements, Inc., the largest carnival company in the Western United States, is proud to be the official carnival operator at the State Fair. Fairgoers will find their favorite kiddie rides and thrilling attractions at the Magnificent Midway!  For more than 35 years, the company has served more fairs, celebrations, festivals and fund-raising events than any other carnival in the West.
• Get Animated Pop Culture Exhibit: Come Get Animated in our new feature exhibit celebrating the unique and entertaining world of Animation. We’ll bring you everything from the classics of traditional hand drawn cell animation, to computer animation, as well as the advances with 3-D.

• Dirt to Dish: Get your questions answered, see wonderful demonstrations and sample world-class dishes made from California’s finest local ingredients by local chefs. Visit the “Dirt to Dish” Outdoor Cooking Demonstration at “The Farm” on Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
• Don’t forget your old fair favorites – Deep-fried Twinkies, State Fair Tacos, Curly Fries, Bloomin’ Onions, Fried Artichoke Sandwiches, funnel cakes, cinnamon rolls and more!

Adorable Animals!

• California Ranchland: This exciting and educational program is truly a hands-on agricultural program for children. The Ranchland is divided into “ranchettes,” including the Petting Farm, Pony Painting, the Children’s Dairy Center and much more. Each one of these ranchettes will have interactive activities for children, parents and grandparents and there will be a wide assortment of farm animals for fairgoers to get up close and personal with.
• Fur & Feathers: Enter the adorable and exotic world of Fur & Feathers, a showcase of the small poultry, rabbits, exotic birds, cavy and pocket pets.
• Livestock Nursery: Don’t forget to show the kids the Livestock Nursery at “The Farm” where they can see real baby animals. The newborns and mothers are housed at the nursery during the Fair and are monitored around the clock by practicing veterinarians and veterinary science students form U.C. Davis.
